The quarantine collection
A song inspired heavy by my grandfather and his life. He has worked hard always and has been the one to set a bar that is extremely hard to reach. Great man, him and my Grandmother both. He was working on a tractor only a week or so after his 84th birthday and I thought we nearly lost him. This tractor ended up running him over, but with the help of our father in heaven he was spared. He is doing well now, he's ready to go take on the world like always. If it weren't for a few perfectly placed items for that machine to jump up on and guide it around the property, this could have ended horribly. This song has become pretty hard for me to play as I think about what could have been that day. I'm glad to have captured this on video, a time might come where I can no longer make my way to the end of it. Everyone stay safe, if you are like my grandfather working on old farm equipment make sure that thing is in neutral when jumping it off. He thought it was, but this old machinery, can sometimes get older and seem like something else. be sure, and always triple check.
This song might be new to a lot of people, but it was written years ago now. it's been a fan favorite at all live events. I've never released this one or posted online. I feel like the message is clear and I know I can never begin to understand the pain and struggles a lot of people have had to deal with. One thing that has always been and remains clear is that people have had the odds stacked against them from the beginning. Our father in heaven is the only constant that we will always be able to count on. Be free, let go and forgive each other. Treat others as you would have them treat you. We only live once, we need to be an example for our children.
